WORK STUDY POSITION: Other Bank Operations Associate
SUMMARY OF POSITION: This is a part-time (10+ hour per week) work study position for students at St. Martin’s University, South Puget Sound Community College, and The Evergreen State College. The position supports YWCA Olympia’s Other Bank operations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: YWCA Olympia is seeking a motivated individual to support the Other Bank.
- Coordinate operations of the Other Bank (OB) including processing and packaging donations with Economic Empowerment Program (EEP) participants and volunteers
- Prep and supervise weekly service delivery in the Other Bank on Wednesdays from 1-3:30pm
- Update Other Bank forms weekly
- Coordinate Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) contract
- Manage all weekly Other Bank data including donations and client order forms
- Run reports as needed, usually monthly
- Work closely with OB Resource Associate to coordinate all Other Bank functions
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be committed to the mission of the YWCA of Olympia to eliminate racism and sexism to advance the political, social and economic status of all womxn and girls
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Outgoing and self-directed with ability to work as part of a team
- Good judgment, positive attitude, respectful of all people
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check (no crimes against persons)
- Spanish speaking candidate preferred, but not required
- Must possess a valid WA driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work all day Wednesdays.
RATE OF PAY: Dependent on Work Study Award
